One week check-up!

We had our one week check-up today. Jessie is already at 9lbs. With that weight and the height of 21 inches, that puts her at 95% for height and weight and 75 for head. Holly cow, we have over compensated for Jamie's 10%. Though, Jessie still seems itsy bitsy to me and can only fit in to her new born clothes. All is well with us, at this point we couldn't ask for better.

here are some pictures from the first couple days

Welcome Home

Jessie Rachel Choun was born on April 17th, 2008 at 7:50AM weighing in at 8lbs 10 oz. and 19 inches long. Though she is at about 8 lbs now and I suspect longer than 19 in. Anyway... we are all doing great. Jessie had some jaundice so we have a to have a billy blanket strapped to her that emits uv light. She seems to be on the mend now. Sorry I didn't keep up with the blog while in the hospital like I had hoped. She is a sweet little one. Thanks to everyone that was able to stop by it was good to see you all.

p.s I hope to have pictures posted by some time today.

keeping you posted

Since the purpose of this blog site is to keep people up to date on our newly expanding family, I figure I'll make mention of it. This time next week we will be having our last night as a family of three. We are scheduled to go in to in to the hospital at 5:30 am on April 17th. I guess one last night of good sleep was to much to ask. Of course this is assuming everything goes as planned. I wouldn't make any hefty wagers that it all goes as planned, but right now we are going with what we've got.

Big sister Jamie is very excited, mom and dad are in a safe place called denial ; ) No names have been decided so don't even ask. By the way, this is not a topic we are up for debates on. (despite what my parents might think)

My plan is to continue to keep everyone posted via this site. At this point it seems easier then having to call everyone. Plus.. all my friends are doing it ; ) no worries mom and dad, way to chicken to jump off a bridge.

old dog learning new tricks

Hi everyone! Welcome to our site. At this point I'm completely unfamiliar with how all of this works. I'll figure it out eventually, but right now I'm in the process of clicking every button to see what it does. (how else do you figure things out ; ) Wish me luck.
